Peter John Maley (born 8 December 1947) is a former Australian politician. He was the member for Goyder in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2005, first as a member of the Country Liberal Party and then as an Independent.
Maley studied law and became a police prosecutor, later lecturing in law part-time at the Northern Territory University. He was elected to parliament in 2001 and served on the CLP front-bench, but he resigned after a dispute with then leader Terry Mills. In 2005 he was attacked by new party leader Denis Burke for spending too much time on outside work, and he was expelled from the CLP's parliamentary wing. Maley served the rest of his term as an independent and did not contest the 2005 election.[1]
